Dr. Eddie Game, Lead Scientist and Director of Conservation Asia Pacific
Eddie Game is the Lead Scientist & Director of Conservation for The Nature Conservancy’s Asia Pacific region. Eddie is responsible for ensuring that TNC remains a world leader in making science-based conservation decisions and brings together our programs in Australia, Aotearoa New Zealand, Papua New Guinea and Solomon Islands in recognition of the regions' importance and role in tackling global diversity and climate crisis. Eddie has had the privilege of working on conservation in more than 20 countries, helping to apply innovative methods to projects as diverse as community-protected areas in Melanesia, grazing management in northern Kenya, snow leopard conservation in Mongolia, forestry in Indonesia and catchment restoration in Colombia.
Eddie’s work also focuses on how we measure and report on the impact of our work and the role technology can play in helping do so. Eddie and his team have been enthusiastic adopters of Eco acoustics, developing partnerships that bring together cutting-edge academic research with real-world applications in countries including Papua New Guinea, Indonesia, Myanmar, Australia and Gabon.
Lara Gallagher, Country Director The Nature Conservancy Australia
Lara Gallagher was appointed Country Director, Australia in May 2025. She was previously Director of Philanthropy & Engagement for The Nature Conservancy Australia, responsible for major gifts, partnerships, government relations, membership, and conservation finance.
Prior to The Nature Conservancy, Lara worked in cross-functional senior leadership roles in commercial and NFP organisations including Ogilvy, Channel 4, Wyndham Worldwide, Arcadia Group & Women’s Community Shelters. She has spent the last 5 years working in the conservation sector for Taronga Conservation Society Australia and most recently as Senior Executive: Development & Partnerships for the Australian Wildlife Conservancy.
Muhammad Salie, Deputy Director of Finance Asia Pacific
Muhammad Salie is the Deputy Director of Finance, Asia Pacific and is responsible for directing the activities and personnel of the Finance function across the region. With over 20 years of experience in both the for-profit and non-profit sectors, he brings deep expertise in accounting, financial management, and financial leadership.
Brett Dal Pozzo, Staff Elected Director, Conservation Coordinator Oceans Program, Australia
A coastal and marine restoration practitioner with over 20 years’ experience in delivering large scale projects in Western Australia, with a focus on restoration of coastal landscapes and addressing the impacts of recreational use, invasives and disease. Brett has worked in the NRM sector, coordinated State Government funding programs (Coastwest), within local government and currently leads The Nature Conservancy’s marine restoration team, restoring shellfish reefs across southern Australia
Asha Shah, Global Controller, Chief Finance Office
Asha Shah is a Certified Public Accountant and the Global Controller at The Nature Conservancy based in the US. With extensive experience in financial leadership and compliance, Asha oversees global accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal controls across TNC’s worldwide programs. Her work supports the organisation’s mission to conserve the lands and waters on which all life depends, ensuring financial integrity and transparency in over 70 countries and territories. Asha also serves as a director with Nature Conservancy India Solutions Private Limited, reflecting her commitment to advancing conservation efforts on a global scale.
