Biography

Tony Jupp is the Director of Conservation for TNC Australia. He leads a hugely talented team of experts spread across our vast country. This includes the Seascapes, Indigenous Landscapes, Protected Landscapes, Conservation Finance, and Data & Science Teams. Prior to his current role Tony held a variety of positions at TNC including Program Advisor to TNC’s India Program, TNC Australia's Conservation Operations Director, Associate Director of Communications, and Aridlands Project Manager.

Tony has a Bachelor of Science (Zoology), a Graduate Diploma in Education and a Graduate Certificate in Business Administration from the University of Western Australia.

He is based in Perth, Western Australia, lands of the Whadjuk People of the Noongar Nation. Before joining TNC in 2014, Tony worked in conservation, corporate communications, politics and education. He worked for many years managing national parks. He started his conservation career with seven years at Perth Zoo. He has a particular interest in conserving south-west Western Australia's three threatened species of black-cockatoos.
