Christine Christian AO

Christine is a distinguished Australian philanthropic leader and successful businessperson, with extensive experience as a company director, investor and entrepreneur. Her impressive near 40-year career spans financial services, investment, private equity, credit risk, government and media. Christine has held a number of Senior Executive and Advisory Roles in Australia, China, India and the United States and is an advocate for industry reform, a champion of education and learning, ethical leadership, and female leadership.  

In 2020 Christine was appointed Officer in the General Division of the Order of Australia in recognition of her service to the financial and investment sectors, to women in business, and through her support for emerging entrepreneurs. Christine is a member and past President of Chief Executive Women, and is the first woman to be appointed as President of the State Library of Victoria in the library's 165 year history.
