Biography
Ashley is passionate about cultivating opportunities which enhance the environment and local communities. As the Oceans Project Coordinator for Blue Impact Bonds, she oversees the development of an innovative financial mechanism for supporting an uplift in ecosystem services and resilience to climate change.
Ashley holds a B.S. with Honors in Marine Biology from the University of North Carolina Wilmington, Master of Marine Biology from Texas A&M University at Galveston, and a PhD from Deakin University. Her PhD research focused on the future of coastal wetlands under rising sea levels which helped coastal managers understand opportunities to strengthen wetland resistance and resilience across Australia.
Ashley has assisted The Nature Conservancy in supporting the restoration and spatial analyses of shellfish reefs in Australia since 2018. She commenced working on conservation finance in 2021 and is based in our Melbourne office.
