The Nature Conservancy (TNC) Australia’s photo contest is back, with more than $16,000 worth of prizes up for grabs! TNC is calling on all nature lovers and photographers to share their passion and enter TNC Australia’s Nature Photo Contest, which will run throughout the month of August 2021.
“Across the world, nature, whether it is through dramatic landscapes or quirky wildlife, unites and inspires people,” said TNC Australia Managing Director Alison Rowe. “The Photo Contest is open to anyone with a love for nature, amateur as well as professional photographers. Now is the time to dig out your best nature pictures or get outdoors and look for inspiring subjects. Australia, with its diverse and unique landscapes and wildlife, is such a perfect place for it.”
TNC Australia is delighted to announce a formidable panel of Australian photographers as judges for this year’s contest. Renowned photographers Adrian Alford, Christian Fletcher, Ben Goode and Sean Scott have been tasked with selecting the best pictures across the following categories:People and Nature, Landscapes, Wildlife, Water.
Professional landscape photographer and category winner in the Photo Contest in 2015, Ben Goode is back on the judging panel. “I am really excited to be onboard for a third time! The quality of images was fantastic last time and I expect the standard to be even higher this time around. This is definitely a competition that all keen nature photographers should get involved in.”
“I will be looking for photographs that will display technical prowess but more importantly a sense of place,” said WA-based Christian Fletcher. “It isn’t about who has the best camera -it is about who has the best eye.
”Prizes will be awarded for the best Australian photos, with the total prize pool, including prizes for global and Australian winners, exceeding AUD$16,000 in value.
The Nature Conservancy Australia’s 2021 Photo Contest will open on 1 August 2021 and close on 31 August 2021 (AEST).
